Andrea Marty’s paintings are a jumbled mix of imagery that evolve through layers of transferred photographs, recycled wood, and acrylic paint. Andrea gets inspiration from her husband’s local organic farm, her beautiful bright-eyed daughter and all things old, folk-inspired, tattered or dusty. Most often, she starts with a photo of ananimal or human face and goes from there, usually ending up with a funky little creature in need of a good home. Andrea’s nickname is PT.
